Note: This is first tourney, and it is a bit rushed and unexpected, just wanted to get something in before MOP. It will probably be messy, but that's fine! Just try and work with us. Let me (Bigtaylor) know if I'm missing something or any relevant comments.

When? Shooting for Aug 31, Sept 1 and Sept 2. ~6pm-10pm realm time. This being said, there is a chance that this will be in a difference patch than current. This will also be open to outside of guild if there is not enough interest.

Prizes: There will be a gold price pull consisting of entrance fees - 3k for each team, possible down payments if teams do not show, and any other gold accumulated via donations, etc.

Tournament Structure

The tournament will be broken down into two phases - Round Robin Phase and Double Elimination Phase.

Round Robin Phase

In order to enable the chance for more teams to participate in this tournament we have decided to invite 15(Hopefully) teams which will be split into three randomized groups of five teams each. A round robin formatted tournament will be played out, and the top 2 teams from each group will proceed to the Final Double Elimination phase.

The teams will be chosen based on LIVE ARENA RATING as well as the diversity of comps (note that we are not restricting to a maximum of two comps this time, however the selection of teams will be discretionary based on EE staff judgement).

This phase will be best of 3 matches. Each team will be be able eliminate two map choices. Nagrand will be the first map played, and loser chooses next map.

Double Elimination Phase

The Tournament phase will have 6 teams competing in a double elimination format. As stated previously, the top 2 teams from each Group (A, B, C) will be invited to this phase.

This phase will be best of 5 matches. Nagrand will be the first map played, and loser chooses next map.


Tournament Rules

All rules are enforced based on the judgement of the Admins and Commentators, both of which hold the right to replay a specific match or disqualify a team from the tournament.

#1) Fear Ward, Water Elemental and other similar spells must only be used when the gates open. This should allow for similar times on cooldowns to a regular game.

#2) Players cannot cast short term buffs under 30 seconds that would normally be cleared after when gates open until the countdown is complete.

#3) Players must follow the simple rules that allow the spectator UI to work, failure to do this will require a restart of the game. Consistent failure may result in disqualification.

#4) We are playing on the Live Realm -Legendaries & Cunning, Vial, Bone Link Trinkets are NOT allowed. This being said, heroic weapons, tier, offpieces are allowed.

#5) Losers of each match will be able to choose a map that has not already been played. Nagrand will always be chosen first. .

#6) Teams that fail to show up for an assigned time will risk disqualification along with losing down payment

#7) We are keeping the disconnect rule at 45 seconds. If a player disconnects after the 45 second mark, the game will NOT be restarted. I HIGHLY suggest all of the players to check out a guide that I made that talks about ways to avoid DDoSing.

#8 ) Comps not allowed. 3 DPS, Double Healer X.

How to Sign up:

There will be an entrance fee of 3k per team- and a down payment fee of another 3k. This down payment is required in order to participate in this tournament. The down payment is just insurance for you not showing up and is incentive to stick to the tournament. You will get it back after participation.
